The little road that goes down from Cholonge is great and on arrival you have a superb view of Lake Lafrey

Alpe du Grand Serre is a family-friendly mid-mountain resort, which maintains a human touch, far from the overcrowding of larger resorts. The resort is ideal for mountain biking (trail, enduro, and downhill), downhill skiing, hiking, and snowshoeing. In summer, you can cool off in its small lake or in the alpine lakes accessible by hiking.

From Séchilienne, the climb is quite demanding, constantly between 10 and 15%. A small road with little traffic.

A rather pleasant place frequented by fishermen and children who come here on bicycles. In spring, you can hear frog concerts there.

Little known but very tough, the Col du Luitel offers a sustained ascent on its S side, with an average slope of ~10% over almost its 10km. S slope, therefore warm, but shaded. Narrow road, medium tarmac, little traffic. 9.9km, D+ 920m

Wetland area suitable for bird watching.

Along this path, you alternate between wooded corridors and open balconies. Here, precisely, you can admire the turquoise waters of Lake Petichet. A real call to swim. If you go back down, the lake is not that far.

A better route to take that avoids the busy main road. There are very nice panoramic views of Lac de Laffrey below.
