Incredibly beautiful paths - partly on wooden planks, partly through fine sand. A small, hidden natural paradise that can be wonderfully explored on a circular hike.

Plage Wissant is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Côte d'Opale. The beach stretches for twelve kilometers and forms an arc from Cap Blanc-Nez to Cap Gris-Nez. It is a popular spot for windsurfers and kitesurfers. At low tide the beach reveals a vast expanse of fine sand, ideal for sand yachting. It is also a safe place for children to swim in the shallow pools. At high tide there is less room to walk on the sand. Wissant beach is also a favorite spot for photographers, painters and art lovers for its beautiful sunsets and landscapes.

Beautiful cliffs for which the cliff path (HR or sentier des Crans) makes a detour.

Dunes de la Slack is a beautiful nature reserve on the Opal Coast, between Wimereux and Ambleteuse. The area is named after La Slack, a river that flows through the dunes and flows into the sea at Fort d'Ambleteuse. The area is ideal for hikers and nature lovers. There are several walking routes available, including the 'La Baie de Saint-Jean' walk, which partly coincides with the GR120 du Littoral. The dunes are a varied dune area of the Parc naturel régional des Caps et marais d'Opale.

Fort Mahon, known as Fort Vauban or Fort Ambleteuse, was built around 1680 by the architect Vauban to protect against invasions.

This cliff owes its name to its atypical shape, similar to giant rock eggs. From here you have a beautiful view of the coastline and the limestone cliffs of Dover.

This sandstone and clay cliff offers you a breathtaking view of the English Channel, Cape Blanc-Nez, and the bay of Wissant. On a clear day you can see the White Cliffs of Dover. It is the closest point to England. The strait is an important crossing point for many species of migratory birds.

Family-friendly walk through a vulnerable dune area near the Slack river. Not suitable for wheelchairs. The route is well marked. The dunes themselves are not accessible due to their fragile nature, so you are obliged to follow the provided paths. The stretch of beach between Ambleteuse and Wimereux is impressive.
