The Abbey of the Trinity is a Benedictine abbey founded in the 11th century in Vendôme. You can stroll through the abbey and admire its Romanesque and Gothic architecture, as well as its remarkable cloister. You can also discover the history and culture of the people who lived and prayed in the abbey, which was a center of learning and art in the Middle Ages.

The Saint-Georges Gate marks the entrance to the town when crossing the Loir from the south. Its construction dates from the 14th century, although some elements were added later. From the bridge, you can admire the machicolations, medallions and ornamental sculptures present on the structure.

Lake Villiers-sur-Loir has a leisure base where you can swim or do one of the water activities on offer, such as pedalo or sailing. Picnic tables allow you to have a meal on site while enjoying the coolness of the water. Children can have fun in the playgrounds dedicated to them.

It was originally a building remodeled in the 16th century by Marshal de Rochambeau to give it the fabric of a castle. The building is listed as a historical monument. The common parts of the domain are installed in the troglodyte part of the site. A real curiosity. It is possible to visit the castle in the summer season.

The southern gateway to Vendôme, Porte Saint-Georges has towers on its sides, mostly built in the 14th century. By reaching it by the bridge, one can see its battlements, its ornamental sculptures and its decoration of medallions which date from the Renaissance, added between the 15th and the 16th century.
