Le mémorial des reporters: A place of remembrance that is unique in the world for reporters and journalists who died in the line of duty. For each "year of death" there is a plaque with the date and name of the respective reporter - there are now over 2,000 names listed here. The memorial was set up by the city of Bayeux in cooperation with the organization "Reporters sans frontières". An important place for reflection and contemplation. Unfortunately, the valuable commodity of freedom of the press is a value that has come under great pressure in more and more regions of the world.
