The Calais Lighthouse. The Calais Lighthouse has been in operation since 1848 and offers an exceptional panorama of the harbor and the Pas de Calais Strait. Overlooking the Courgain River, it features a classroom dedicated to maritime signaling.

Arthur Thomas Souville, the famous Calais corsair of the 20th century, distinguished himself for his battles against the English and his numerous captures. After his career as a sailor, he made a name for himself and founded the Calais Lifeboat Station. His memory is honored by a statue unveiled in 2019.
