The view from Diben Point is a breathtaking sight for hikers, offering a perfect blend of coastal beauty and natural serenity. As you approach this vantage point, you will discover breathtaking views of the surrounding coastline and a perfect view of Diben Point in its entirety.

At Pointe de Roc'h Louët you can enjoy stunning coastal views and a spectacular landscape where jagged cliffs meet the Atlantic Ocean. You'll find a path dotted with moorland and rocky outcrops on this picturesque section of the Breton coastline.

THE FORTIFICATIONS OF SAINT-SAMSON These fortifications constitute an infantry position. Their main mission is to prohibit any landing on the beach. Different types of fortifications were built between 1942 and 1944: a casemate for anti-tank guns, Tobruks (small individual bunkers), weapons storage bunkers, housing. The cannon, placed in the casemate, makes it possible to destroy the attacker who attempts to approach the beach, by aiming at his side (his flank) which is more vulnerable. The position, made up of around twenty men, was evacuated without a fight on August 3, 1944 during the retreat of German troops towards Brest.

Is there a better place than Pointe de Primel to breathe the salty ocean air? Indeed, its pile of rocks allows you to climb higher than the roof of the small customs officers' cabin which reminds you that this place was once monitored. In bad weather, don't tempt the devil, accidents are frequent.

Over the centuries, the strategic position of the Pointe de Primel has been disputed by many belligerents: the Vikings, the English and then the Spaniards. Vauban will place there on order of Louis XIV a battery of two guns a reinforcement to the fort of the castle of Taureau. Later, Napoleon 1st decreed the continental blockade and built the "Cabane des Douaniers" to monitor the area. Since the dawn of time, man has invested this granite promontory and then there have been shipwrecks, hanging lanterns at nightfall to deceive the tall ships.
