Pretty chapel, and space designed for a comfortable stop (tables, shelters, toilets, etc.). When I was there, the chapel was closed. Find out about the opening dates if you want to see the interior.

I am truly more than surprised to find this church. But in the country that hosts the "Tour de France", which is so important beyond its borders, there must be a place of worship like this.

On May 18, 1959, cycling world champion André Darrigade left his jersey, thus starting a tradition. In summer, the church is open in the morning and afternoon. In autumn, unfortunately, it is only open in the afternoon from 3 p.m., so we were unable to visit.

A church from the 12th century, the time when this bastide was founded. Beautifully painted, it would now need a gentle renovation.

The beautiful Church Notre-Dame de l'Assomption is located right in the large square of Labastide-d'Armagnac. At the south-east corner of Place Royale, the line of porticoes surrounding the square is abruptly interrupted by the imposing tower of the church founded in the medieval period, between the 14th and 15th centuries.

Along the green way created from the old railway there is this beautiful church dedicated to Santa Maria dei cyclists. Inside are endless t-shirts of famous cyclists. Absolutely obligatory stop.

To the traveler in a hurry, crossing the Houga from the RD6 (Nogaro-Mont-de-Marsan) reveals a village-road, nothing more. Church - Le Houga Gers Town Hall. For the curious, the structure of the house and the site on a hill whose lines descend to the south and north, the brick tower-portico of the Saint-Pierre church and the rue du Prince Noir, partly inscribed on the route of the path of the bastion, reveal a closed village ... until the demolition of its last gate in 1775.

Magnificent village dating from the 1200s. Beautiful courtyard where you can taste Armagnac in the shade of the arcades. A short tour to "our lady of cyclists" is required thereafter.

Small village centered around it's historic church. There is a post office in town, but most of the town's efforts is focused around their rows of Armagnac making grapes.

Nice historical village square, very little was going on here in May: only a handful of tourists and locals were to be found. A small restaurant with an outdoor terrace was open and is highly recommended.

Considered one of the most beautiful bastides in the South-West, it is ideally located on the Scandibérique. Every year, the music festival L'Oreille en Place takes place there. An ideal moment to enjoy the lively atmosphere of the village!

This chapel was entirely dedicated to cyclists on May 18, 1959. It is full of jerseys from the world champions of the little queen. It only remains to hope that the museum makes room for the champions. God knows there are!
