I think the hydrangeas are like a competition for the people here, to see who has the prettiest ones. But they should also be able to handle the salty air well.

When I passed by today, the canvases were being removed from the wings. Both windmills are now in museum use. The larger one previously had white canvases, while the smaller one had red wing coverings.

The stone churches characterize the area. Here, in addition to an unusual entrance portal, one finds a window with a triple-spiraled pediment. Celtic symbols were used here in a Catholic church. Whether this was a concession by the church to the old religion or whether the church fathers were simply ignorant is unknown.

It's nice that the mills were saved from decay. They're simply beautiful to look at. A reminder of times long past (which I didn't experience either—but still)

A lovely café in a beautiful square opposite the market hall. Authentic decor, friendly service, and excellent coffee. The white facade, like other building facades, has been given its texture by the seagulls.

I have never seen such lush blooming bushes, shrubs and flowers here before.
