Old windmill just east of the excavation

great hike done with my 4 and 5 year old daughters... a bit long for her but it can be done!

Located on the left bank of the Virdoule, this water mill is part of the commune of Aubais. It offers a pleasant and refreshing relaxing environment at the edge of the watercourse.

Sounds of hammers and chisels, encounters with people and places... Junas honors the stone trade every year. Every summer, in July, "men of art from many countries meet here to share their passion and their practice. These are the "Stone Meetings.

A grandiose and magical place, forged by more than 2000 years of rock quarrying using an unchanged manual method, hundreds of cubic meters of stone quarried there were used in particular to build the Pont de Sommières, then later in Aigues-Mortes and Vigan .

Les Carrières de Junas, or quarries of Good Time, is the site of an old stone quarry exploited since Antiquity and whose shapes evoke human constructions.

The Corbières mill is an old watermill dating from 1482. The layout of the place for the operation of the mill is quite impressive.
