A fortified gate and old windmills.

Also called Gallo-Roman pile, this turaque or tower is dated between the first and third centuries AD. It is located between the town of Biran and the island of the Biran mill. It was surely the mausoleum of a rich landowner or notable person of that time. A second pile stood 20 meters further north. It was destroyed during the 19th century. The place with an enclosure has not yet been excavated. It must contain tombs and objects of worship.

It is a Gascon castle which has the particularity of being made up of a large keep. It is close to the Baïse, at a location which allowed a fording of the road leading from Auch to Eauze. Due to its strategic position, it must have had an important role. it was also to serve as protection for the adjacent mill.

Small town in the Pays d'Auch, known for its Feria de la Pentecôte, the Pentecotavic, during which a superb festival of brass bands takes place. To see: the Chapter Tower, the Cordeliers convent, the arenas and the few half-timbered houses that remain in the town centre.

A friendly and unpretentious town. Surrounded by vineyards, you wouldn't think it was d'Artagnan's birthplace.
