The composition of many such granite blocks is so heterogeneous that they age at different rates in different places due to weathering. This is also the case with this specimen. The depressions of the already eroded feldspar are clearly visible even if you stand a short distance from the rock – climbing is not necessary (if you want to, don't let that stop you).

Local legend has named this place the Rochers des Fées and Pas de la Mule but in fact excavations of the site have revealed that it was used as a Bronze Age shelter with artifacts and remains found in the structure.

Center of memory and martyr village of Oradour-sur-Glane. The village has been kept in ruins for memory, following the massacre of its inhabitants in 1944 during the Second World War. A poignant site that can be visited all year round and free of charge.

In the town of Vaulry (87140). A hexagonal tower was built in 1863 and enlarged in 1868 in front of the influx of pilgrims. It was restored in 1996, following damage.
