In Greek mythology, the god APOLLO (also: Apollon) was associated with, among other things, the famous oracle of Delphi. According to tradition, the last oracle of Phytia (this was the title of the seer/fortune teller who lived there) in the second half of the fourth century - i.e. when Christianity was spreading more and more - is said to have been: "Tell the king that the beautifully constructed house has fallen.
