The Crise Valley is a historic site where important battles were fought. Numerous churches and castles were built there, and remnants can still be seen. The castle of Berzy-le-Sec dates back to between the 12th and 16th centuries, having undergone several construction phases. The ruins of this building remain today: adjacent ditches and a courtyard. The castle was converted into a farm from the 18th century until the First World War.

The Abbaye Saint-Jean-des-Vignes is a former abbey of Augustinian canons in Soissons, France. It was founded in 1076 by Hugues le Blanc, lord of the region, and was one of the richest abbeys in the Middle Ages at the time. The abbey is located on the Saint-Jean hill, southwest of the city center of Soissons and has a Gothic architecture. It is currently a historical monument and is open to visitors. It includes a beautiful facade, a refectory, a cloister and outbuildings. The former abbot's house houses the Center for the Interpretation of Architecture and Heritage.

Saint-Jean-des-Vignes is a former monastery in the French city of Soissons. During the French Revolution, the monastery was dissolved and the monastery grounds were converted into barracks. The buildings were also used as a quarry. The monastery church was destroyed by an explosion in the ammunition dump. Today the two-tower facade of the former monastery church, parts of the cloister and the refectory are still preserved from the monastery complex.
