Feldalmhütte, open from June to October

During the Saualm Challenge 2025 (June 19-21, 2025) organized by the Klagenfurt Nature Friends, we stopped off for a short break on June 19, 2025 (stage 1, NF-Winterleitenhütte - NF-Haus Klippitztörl). A very cozy alpine hut in a beautiful location at 1754 m, inviting you to stop for a bite to eat. Good value for money for food and drinks. Friendly hosts (hut owner Lydia Schäfer-Kassin). Another hiker's hut, not a beer garden for motorists, with home-style food of very good quality, beer from the trough, no running diesel generator, and a great couple who run the hut.

The Schulterkogelhütte is located at an altitude of about 1,470 meters and is a popular starting point for hikes in the area. The hut offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and is known for its warm atmosphere and traditional Carinthian cuisine.

Beautiful rock formation that makes a great photo opportunity.
