Remilly-sur-Lozon is an old town populated by around 650 inhabitants where the Saint-Martin Church (16th – 20th centuries) stands in the shape of a cross, with an elongated nave. It houses a bas-relief from 1555 representing the martyrdom of Saint Agatha, a contemporary wicker altar made by F.-X. Lehodey, as well as modern stained glass windows.

This portion is part of the “Le bocage” discovery trail. The hedge, the jewel of the Norman bocage, has been shaped by many generations of farmers since the clearings of the Middle Ages. This route allows you to discover and understand the life of the hedge and the relationships it maintains with its occupants. @Park House

Méterville Castle is a historic Manche residence located in Gorges. Its construction dates back to the 16th century: the manorial dwelling was completed in 1588; the roof was remodeled at the end of the 19th century. The farmhouse, taken over in the 20th century, the neighboring stable and the barn-carthouse complex date from the 18th century. The dwelling, made of sandstone rubble and covered in slate, is made up of two symmetrical pavilions framing a very slender main building. The frames of the openings are made of cut stone. An exterior staircase leads to the room set up in the cellar on the ground floor. A protruding square turret in the middle of the rear facade houses the interior distribution staircase.

This gem of a chapel stands lonely and alone in an open field. Beautiful area.

Very nice little chapel. Once a year, a big party takes place at the end of July. The chapel was unfortunately closed to me
