Paradou is a commune with 2,110 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019) in the south of France in the Bouches-du-Rhône department (13) in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. The name comes from a local name for water mills that weavers used to exploit the Arcoule river. It lies on the Alpilles mountain range, below Les Baux-de-Provence, east of Arles and just a little west of Maussane-les-Alpilles. The municipal area belongs to the Alpilles Regional Natural Park.
