A peaceful and interesting flight from Paris 🇲🇫 to the Hanseatic City ✈️ of Hamburg 💙 Airport. We had perfect weather and a stunning view. Absolutely spectacular and exciting, and not to be forgotten 💕. Of all the shots, this is my favorite 💗.

Long live lily of the valley, lily of the valley as far as the eye can see

Along the towpath, the view opens up for a moment onto the church of Mareuil-sur-Ourcq which stands on the other side of the canal. This Gothic-style building was built in three stages starting in the 13th century.

Magnificent lock on the Ourcq canal at the eponymous village. It is surrounded by a beautiful green setting which gives it even more charm.

We arrive by the towpath along the canal, then we see the church of Mareuil... Very bucolic.

Former stronghold of the Counts of Valois, the fortified castle was built around 1390 by Jean de Sépoix, advisor to King Charles V, on the site of an old fortified house. Currently only the square keep remains. The house was burned down during the Fronde.

This oratory is located in the wood where in 1639, woodcutters found a statue of the Virgin in the trunk of an oak tree. This miracle has since given rise to a local cult, and a procession is celebrated every year in August.
