The Puy de Monne is one of the many volcanoes that make up the Monts Dore. It stands between the Puy de la Tache to the north and the Puy de l'Angle to the south. Its summit culminates at 1,696 meters.

Arriving from the north, the Puy de la Tache is one of the first volcanoes that make up the chain of the Monts Dore. From the top of its 1,629 meters, the panoramic view embraces the entire Mont-Dore valley. At the top, an old radio shelter is abandoned. During terrible weather episodes, it makes an excellent shelter.
