If the poet is truly buried here, then it's in a very beautiful setting, fitting for him, with magnificent heathland. It's generally easy to get here by bike, as long as you don't expect a paved path; otherwise, you can push your bike a bit. This heathland isn't that big.

There are many great trails around the Freudenthal Monument with beautiful views of the Böhme Valley. It reminded me of the Weser Uplands.

The monument in honor of Hermann Löns is located in a small but very beautiful heathland. A few meters away is also Hermann Löns's grave.

A great, long boardwalk with steps along the Böhme River. Mostly renovated, but there are still a few old sections. All of them are safe to walk on. However, they are constantly slippery, as they are located in the permanently wetland area along the Böhme River. So please always be careful.
