The Château de Villandry is a beautiful Renaissance castle that was inspired by the gardening art of the 16th century. There are ornamental gardens, fruit and vegetable gardens, a water garden and medicinal herb beds. The entire site is about 5 hectares in size. There is also a sun garden and a labyrinth. There are a total of 52 km of box hedges in the gardens.

Still closed June 2024 Gardens wern't open either.... Couldn't find any information about it on the web.... I would suggest giving this site a total miss !! There are far better options available such as Azay le Rideau...

Family property, Champchevrier Castle is a historic castle inhabited by the same family since 1728. It is open to the public from June 15 to the third weekend of September, European Heritage Days weekend.
