You can pass by here without noticing this 18th century building which has no particular architectural interest, because its interest is not visual, but audio ... Indeed, this castle houses a legendary recording studio which had its heyday in the 70s and 80s. Founded in 1969 by Michel Magne, a key composer of film music from the 60s/70s (he notably composed the music for Tontons flingueurs, Angélique, Fantomas and OSS 117), the castle offered for the first time at the time a residential studio offering room and board to artists who could thus take the time to record their album in the heart of the peaceful countryside of the French Vexin. Its notoriety would go so far as to attract the big names of Anglo-Saxon rock. David Bowie, Elton John, Pink Floyd, Jacques Higelin, Iggy Pop, The Bee Gees, Claude Nougaro, Eddy Mitchell, Cat Stevens, T Rex, Fleetwood Mac, Marvin Gaye, Bernard Lavilliers, and many others recorded here. From Senlis, a lovely bike ride into the surrounding area (approx. 8 km) on asphalt, forest and field paths will quickly take you directly to the castle. Bicycles and dogs are not allowed on the castle grounds. However, you can cycle along the road and admire the castle. The town is also inviting and there are opportunities to cycle past the race track and through the park.

Auvers sur Oise owes its fame to Vincent Van Gogh who ended his life there. To see its French-style castle, the absinthe museum, its church, Van Gogh's tomb. The city center is small but picturesque provided you go to the heights

Built in 1769 by the architect Jean-François Leroy, its original function was to house the guests of the princes. It owes its name to Louis Antoine de Bourbon-Condé, Duke of Enghien, son of the last Prince of Condé, who was housed with his nurses in the building after his birth in 1772.

Chantilly Castle is a jewel of French heritage and the work of the Duke of Aumale, Henri d'Orléans. The exterior alone is worth the detour. The art collections inside are magnificent as well as the very well maintained garden. A gem a few kilometers from Paris!
