This remarkable oak, 95cm in diameter, was around 150 years old when it was felled by the storm of 1999. This windthrow was preserved by the managers. (source Val d’Oise Natural Space Department)

This small castle from the end of the 17th century was designed by the architect François Mansart, for Jean Dyel, Count d'Aufflay and Ambassador of Louis XIV in Venice. Since 1999 it has been owned by Olivia Hsu Decker. This castle became famous thanks to the scenes filmed in the movie Da Vinci Code. If it cannot be visited, you can rent it for one or two days.

Here you have a very nice view of the Triel-sur-Seine suspension bridge which takes you to Vernouillet. You can contemplate the Seine in a more preserved setting than in intra muros Paris. A bridge large enough to take pictures during your hike!

Here you have the path that leads you to the castle of Vaux-sur-Seine. It certainly involves a small detour from your initial walk, but it is well worth it. It is an atypical and charming castle that combines several eras with authenticity.

This path is on the borders of the national forest of Hautil. It is crossed by many preserved paths, in the middle of nature, with ponds and abundant vegetation. A breath of fresh air a few steps from the Seine! This forest has one of the highest points in the Paris region, with a hill 191 meters above sea level. A terrain worthy of adventurous hikers.
