Beautiful bike path and great scenery.

The Rhône-Rhine Canal connects a navigable tributary of the Rhône, the Saône, to the Rhine. It is bordered by a cycle path that crosses the beautiful Doubs Valley and runs alongside the river. On the opposite bank, you'll see many cyclists using an old towpath that once allowed boats to travel upstream along the canal.

The Roche-lez-Beaupré towpath runs along the Rhine-Rhône canal which separates from the Doubs to allow many boaters to go down or up the river throughout the Doubs valley. A very vegetated portion of the course. Do not hesitate to watch for Kingfishers along the banks. You will find along the way a small authentic bistro to stop by the water and enjoy the view.

The Vieux Tilleul, also called the Gros Tilleul, is an approximately 400-year-old tree that can be found in the Chailluz Forest.
