The "Geishouse Church" is the parish church of Saint Sebastian, built between 1859 and 1862 by the architect Joseph Langenstein, dedicated to Saint Sebastian and Saint Wendelin, and known for its distinctive bell gable and its simplicity typical of the region. It is a landmark of the village, forming part of a historic ensemble that includes a remarkable presbytery and a former chapel converted into a dwelling.

It's quite busy there, but there's everything from cakes to hearty food... I thought the coffee was €3.50, and the Tarte du Myrtille for €6 was also OK 😉

Just before the Col du Haag you can get a pretty good view of the Grand Ballon, now you are "up there" so to speak 🤪

I've never seen anything like it before, you come from a rough, rocky trail and suddenly you're on a bicycle highway 😵‍💫 It leads from Geishouse up to the Col du Haag, just before the Grand Ballon (1424m). The "highway" is designed so that it always has a gradient of around 10%. The idea behind it is to get the racing cyclists off the road, because it's a hell of a lot of traffic up to the highest mountain in this area. We were only on the "highway" for a short time, but we didn't see a single racing cyclist, it seems to be pretty unknown, but it's extremely cool 😍
