The inn is established in what was once the "little school" in the hamlet of Bouchala, offering an immersion in the culinary traditions of Lyon and Forez. On the menu, trout steak with sorrel or even “my mother’s couscous”, all praised by the Gault et Millau guide. A lunch stop at this hostel is greatly appreciated when hiking in the area, but remember to book in advance, as places are precious. And a little fun tip for hikers: don't forget your "schoolbag" (backpack) at school!

Since the year 1000, the chapel of La Vallette has been a small parish belonging to the Benedictines of Salt-en-Donzy. The chapel is an example of Romanesque construction in the 11th century in this region.
