The field bridge is a particularly interesting place. Depending on the water levels dictated by the lake's dam, this place goes from totally flooded to sandy banks and, if left empty long enough... grass grows.

When you see the inviting sign (ENTRY; Prairies de Montour), go wild and explore. Because if you are willing to deviate slightly from the intended trip, you will be richly rewarded. Because a path over planks (meant to keep your feet dry, but waterproof shoes are not an unnecessary luxury) takes you to a beautiful piece of damp nature. We were there in September, but if you come earlier in the year it is probably even nicer here. But it was worth it for us too. Because of the flowers, the insects, the cattle and the landscape. Take a picture of the card on the invitation beforehand. You will have a lot of fun with that on the road.
