Ferme Sainte-Marie, located in the commune of Saint-Étienne-la-Varenne, is a place rich in history and heritage. The Croix des Forces offers a beautiful panorama to the east, towards the Rhône valley. It overlooks the village of Quincié-en-Beaujolais and a picnic table is set up nearby.

The area is too nice to walk around with the Beaujolais moors and the great village of Marchamp.

The Château de La Palud was built around 1560 for a powerful family from Beaujolais. Later in 1680, it was acquired by the nuns of Chazeaux. It is used today for agricultural purposes.
