Since there was no info about this place, here is one from me: - from the source: http://lieuxsacres.canalblog.com/archives/2009/02/16/12571789.html Legend has it that the witches, named after their high priestess Dame Itta, wife of Pierre de Lutzelbourg, founder of the Abbey of Saint-Jean Saverne in 1126, gathered at this place to fly on their brooms and land on the nearby Bastberg near Bouxwiller, the Mount San Sebastián, called in Alsatian "Boechtbairi" which means the mountain of the witches and which also has a very bad reputation: there they took part in the Sabbath. Another legend mentions apprentice witches.....,.
