The Gross-Geroldseck Castle was built on the rocky plateau that slopes down on all sides. The aim was to protect the Maursmünster Abbey. 12th and 13th century towers of a castle now in ruins. Very impressive, they can only be seen from the outside as they are closed to the public for security reasons. It is pleasant to run in the park of the castle.
