Wolfram Eschenbach has apparently done a lot to preserve the city walls and their towers. It's wonderful that, in these modern and fast-moving times, investments are also being made in preserving these special buildings!

The functions of Lake Altmühl in Bavaria are diverse: It serves to regulate water management, as a temporary reservoir for the Danube-Main system, to raise the Altmühl's low water levels, and for flood protection. At the same time, it is an important destination for tourism and recreation, offering activities such as sailing, swimming, and cycling, as well as an important sanctuary for waterfowl, particularly the "Bird Island" in the north of the lake. The cycle path around the lake is largely separated from pedestrians. Almost 100% paved. There are three lake centers with numerous restaurants.

The view from here is quite something.
