Nemours Castle was built starting in the 12th century. In 1926, the castle was listed as a historic monument in France. It is located on the left bank of the Loing River and near the old bridge, allowing it to serve as a defense for the town and a watchtower for the bridge. The fortress-like castle was rebuilt in the 15th and 17th centuries.

A lovely unpaved greenway. From Moret-sur-Loin, for 15 km, the surface is a little rough. 10 km before Nemours, the track has been resurfaced and is a nice, smooth gravel. We passed through without any problems on gravel bikes with a baby trailer. Our friends passed through on city bikes with a trailer. I'm including a photo to give you an idea of the surface.

Surrounded by greenery, this historic lock offers a peaceful setting where you can watch pleasure boats slowly pass by. The towpath, perfect for bike rides, runs alongside the canal, lined with trees and meadows.
