In July, you will be transported back to the Middle Ages during the two-day festival of the great falconer. The programme includes a costumed banquet, a ball, a medieval market, parades and many entertainment related to the era. Gourmets will delight in the crispy biscuits from Cordes. The heavily fortified medieval mountain village (Bastide) rises from a fertile valley landscape and is well worth seeing. The central square is surmounted by an open market hall, which used to be the economic center of the whole area and is now a wonderfully shaded space.
