333 French soldiers are buried in this cemetery. 267 of them have been identified and are buried in individual graves. 66 unknown individuals are buried in 35 individual or communal graves.

The Hussar Beech was painted around 1930 by the four Clément brothers, owners of the mill of the same name in Saint-Léger. Their favorite pastime was engraving and painting on tree trunks, an activity they carried out during hunting trips. The Hussar Beech received a new makeover this summer of 2014 thanks to the collaboration of the municipalities of Virton and Saint-Léger. The Grognard and the Madonna were made after the Hussar. But the three trees are worth the walk!
