I visited on a sunny day, it was warm at the bottom and very windy at the very top. The route was quite easy.

A beautiful woodland with old trees. As it is on the Witton Weaver's long distance path; it is incredibly well maintained. And provides some welcome shade on a hot summer's day. The colors in autumn are striking and in winter; as the trees are quite old; their shape is intricate and beautiful.

As the sun was shining and someone was navigating the water on a small rowing boat; this did not feel like a reservoir at all. For a short moment; I though I was on holiday, walking around a beautiful natural lake.

Great spot to enjoy nature beauty and famous Entwistle Viaduct.

This is a lovely bridge crossing between the two Roddlesworth Reservoir's. You're surrounded by gorgeous woodland and plenty of wildlife. Dog-walkers are welcome, as long as you keep the pups on a lead.

Entwistle Viaduct is a striking railway bridge that spans the picturesque valley near Turton in Lancashire. It's surrounded by lush countryside and offers a dramatic contrast to the natural beauty of the area.

There is a nice 3.2 miles (5.3 km) around Wayoh Reservoir dam. The views from here north, up along the entire length of the reservoir, are particularly nice, and the water is amazingly clear.

A grand, high-level cruise around the West Pennine Moors. The route follows long chunks of the Witton Weavers’ Way on good tracks so is suitable for a winter’s night. It can, however, get claggy in the woods. The bridleway signage is a lot more generous on the ground than the map would suggest, especially if you have an older map.

Enjoy this 4.0-km circular trail near Bolton, Greater Manchester. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 49 min to complete. This is a very popular area for hiking, running, and walking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome and may be off-lead in some areas. Cycling around this area the path can be quite busy and muddy in winter.

Wonderful flavours of ice cream which is needed on a hot day. The queue can get very long but well worth the wait.

Great walk anytime of the year stay off main paths and go in the trees and look out for the deer .
