Very nice view and from there you can jog up the mountain into the valley where there are lots of cow pastures and also marmots.

The cable car to Gemstock starts nearby, from where you have a very nice view and in winter there are great ski slopes.

Very nice hiking trail through pastures with cows, where you can also ride your mountain bike. Further ahead, where there are not so many cows, you can often see marmots.

Thanks to the elevated location there is also a beautiful view over the village.

The lake is dammed by a planted earth dam 155 meters high and 540 meters long. At its base the dam is 700 meters wide. A total of 9.3 million cubic meters of material was used. The dam can be visited. On this tour you take the funicular. The ride on the old winch railway is very adventurous and an experience.

The Göscheneralpsee lies at 1,792 meters and has a maximum depth of a good 100 meters. The lake's massive dam is considered the highest stone dam (a planted earth dam) in Switzerland. You can walk around the lake on a hike. While the front part is rather rocky, the back part is a moorland landscape.

The Catholic parish church of St. Peter and Paul in Andermatt is the most important church in the Ursern Valley and is one of the most important places of worship in the canton of Uri. The parish church of St. Peter and Paul replaced the church of St. Kolumban as the parish church in 1606, four years after it was built. St. Kolumban thus became the “valley church”. At the end of the 17th century, the local baroque architect Bartholomäus Schmid expanded the parish church of St. Peter and Paul. It reflects his style and is magnificently developed on the inside. Faith and protection with a strong prospect. The Mariahilf Chapel ⛪ in Andermatt 🇨🇭 is a sign of belief in God's protection of power. The Mariahilf Chapel was built in 1735/1736 to protect against avalanches. The chapel stands on a hill just above the village of Andermatt. The building is the work of local architect Bartholomäus Schmid.
