Lake Izé is pretty

This chapel was built in 1402 and was a stopover for pilgrims en route to Mont-Saint-Michel. Until around 1840, the site housed a shelter, a bread oven and a cellar to facilitate the stopover of pilgrims. Today, one can enjoy the site for its tranquility and its breathtaking view. The perfect place to take a break from your run.

On the Hambers road at the exit of Bais, stands the Château de Montesson, a building whose construction spanned from the 14th to the 17th century. Surrounded by a moat, the castle consists of a 16th century entrance gatehouse, the old medieval seigneurial residence and the main building built in the 17th century. The entrance pavilion is remarkable for its counter-curved roof on all four sides, its granite facade adorned with the arms of the Montesson family, and its round tower with a "bulbous" slate roof.
