Steep descent, steep ascent. It should be dry. A head for heights and surefootedness are also essential. The route is secured with chains almost the entire way.

A very airy traverse on metal spikes. A lack of shingles, surefootedness, and dry conditions are helpful if you don't want to take the ladder to heaven literally.

The Fronalpstock-Klingenstock high-altitude trail is suitable for low-cut hiking, but still offers considerable, sweaty elevation gain, consistently at over 1,700 meters, and is used by countless other hikers, "thanks" to the cable cars that serve both peaks. The views are always worth seeing, though. And anyone who ascends from Morschach will be rewarded with an almost deserted ascent. Of course, there are also restaurants, for example, on the Fronalpstock, where, despite the name, the work isn't for nothing.

I was there in April but there was still a bit of snow. I would recommend the spring and autumn months, but not too early in the spring, as it is often too hot in the summer.
