The Aiguilles dam of Romilly-Sur-Seine is a hydraulic structure which regulates the level of the Seine to facilitate navigation. It is made of wooden beams called trusses and vertical planks called needles, which rise or lower depending on the flow of the river.

This location offers beautiful views of the water and surrounding countryside. The trail is largely flat and suitable for all levels of hikers. You can take your dog with this plan, but be sure to keep him on a leash. The best time to visit this trail is spring or summer, when the wildflowers and wildlife are in full bloom.

The Saint-Aubin Church in Saint-Aubin is a Romanesque church which dates from the 11th century. You can admire the architecture of the church, which has been modified over the centuries, and see the remarkable tombstone of a knight dating from the 13th century. From the church, you can also admire the Ardusson valley and the surrounding hills. The church is open to visitors every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Paraclete Abbey was founded by the famous medieval lovers and scholars, Pierre Abélard and Héloïse, in the 12th century. You can explore the remains of the abbey's buildings, such as the 17th century abbot's house, the 16th and 17th century monks' cellar, and the 19th century chapel. You will also be able to see the obelisk which marks the place where Abelard and Héloïse were buried. The abbey is open from July 15 to August 29, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The entrance price is 5 euros per person. The abbey is set in a picturesque valley surrounded by woods and fields, and you can admire views of the countryside as you walk along the paths.
