At 1445 m, it's not overly high, but you're still happy when you can finally finish the climb here from the valley. In addition to bare rock, the Hasenmatt also offers a gentle meadow to take a leisurely break and marvel at the main Alpine ridge in the distance - weather permitting.

The Hasenmatt with its 1444 m above sea level. M. the highest elevation in the canton of Solothurn. What could be nicer than taking a break at the summit cross and enjoying the fantastic panorama.

The ascent over the Geis and Gitziflue up to Hasenmatt offers a super beautiful, partly alpine hike, it's just awesome over the ridge of the Gitziflue. From the Hasenmatt you have the best views of the Alps and Lake Biel as well as the Jura and Mittelland.

The panorama from the Hasenmatt is sensationally beautiful. You can see over Lake Biel and Lake Neuchâtel as far as the Chasseral and have an absolutely fantastic view of the Alps. The Schreckhorn is particularly easy to see.

A little bit of summit feeling with a cross

At this point you have the best perspective of the beautiful Bellacher Weiher. So it's worth a short stop here. Here you have direct access to the water. With a bit of luck, you will see toads and blindworms here - in addition to water birds. Very rarely an adder. In autumn you can see strange water birds that stop here on their way to the south.

A fun trail. Easy and flowing. Unfortunately only very briefly. No particular obstacles.
