At approx. ~580 m above sea level M. above the 🌾 Hof Hinterfeld 🚜 at the Chüserainwald 🌲 between Rothenburg and Neuenkirch is this beautiful section of the path, where you can enjoy a wonderful Alpine panorama 🏔️ There is also a nice little bench there 😉

It is not certain when the St. Anna ⛪ chapel in Hapfig was built. Around 1656, however, it was largely rebuilt and during the renovation in 1856 it got its classicistic appearance. In 1977 it was extensively renovated and given to the "St. Anna im Hapfig Foundation". The chapel is in an elevated position above the Hapfig courtyard group. The lantern-like, curved roof turret with two bells (1565 and 1680) gives the building a splendid appearance. In the chapel there is an early Baroque altar with the Nazarene painting by Louis Niederberger (1821-1895) depicting St. Shows Anna with her daughter Maria. A special feature of the chapel is the "Vanitas picture" on the back wall. It admonishes the viewer that death 💀 spares neither the beautiful, the rich nor the poor and that after their earthly existence all people become equal.

Until the end of the 19th century, ditches were drained and peat was extracted in the Turbenmoos and part of the Chüsenrain forest 🌲 in the Neuenkirch municipality. In 1995 the Canton of Lucerne developed a regeneration concept with the aim of returning the area to its original state. In general, ponds and waterlogged ditches have increased greatly; Rare and endangered marsh and silting plants, especially the dragon root (Calla palustris), spread and the water frog population 🐸 has multiplied. The forest has many paths that criss-cross. In addition, there are always beautiful figures and benches, as well as two rest areas with a grill.
