Very popular and almost too overcrowded in summer/peak season. Epic view, though. There are two ways up, the North side being quite exposed. Otherwise, head to the Dent de Hautadon, Merdasson or Cape au Moine. They're in the vicinity, also roughly 2000m high, and way less people go there.

The way down is steep, the path made of loose gravel and the staircase was broken at some point when we went down. Going down you’ll pass by the grotto of Nayes. Great views all around.

The ascent is only worthwhile if the weather is nice, as you can then enjoy a wonderful view over Lake Geneva and the Alps
