Definitely my favorite place in Geneva, whatever the season, early in the morning or as evening falls. It feels good, somewhere else, and a place where you can dream all at once.

The northernmost part of the large park on the shores of Lake Geneva is called Parc Barton. In addition to several works of art and a small harbor, this part of the spacious green area also features California redwoods, which were planted in the 18th century. The park has been open to the public since 1938. The condition of the then owner was to preserve all the trees in the park.

Open and accessible to all, the Douves nature reserve is one of the 52 nature reserves in the canton of Geneva. The fitted wooden pontoon allows you to “fly over” the marsh and observation cabins allow you to contemplate the local fauna and flora.

The conservatory and botanical garden are open every day from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Guided tours offered to the public are free and take place in all weathers. Number of places limited to 15 people. Along the magnificent meanders of the La Versoix river. Walk surrounded by green trees and a quiet environment. At this point you will find a field of garlic (it is good to harvest it in spring or early summer).

An old wooden cabin accessible by a wooden footbridge. It is open to all. Here you can relax for a while or watch the birds of the local marshland areas.
