There's a tough climb just before the summit! Safety ropes are provided, but it's perfectly fine without them. Surefootedness is a must, of course! A magnificent panoramic view is the reward. ⛰️

A modern and comfortable cabin. I booked an overnight stay in a shared room with half board and breakfast. And I was absolutely satisfied: The food was good, the bed (bunk bed) was comfortable, and the shower was hot. The water was hot INSTANTLY! I highly recommend it.

The Lünersee was once a natural mountain lake. The construction of a dam in 1959 transformed the lake into a reservoir with a capacity of 78.3 million m3. When full, the lake is 139 m deep. The circular trail around the lake is largely family-friendly and easy to walk.

On the Swiss side, ascent/descent is only possible via a rope/chain secured via ferrata!
