The Capitello breach is one of the most impressive passages of the GR 20. At an altitude of 2,073 meters, this passage provides exceptional panoramas of the Capitello and Melo lakes, as well as the Restonica valley.

La Bocca alla Porte is one of the most impressive passages of the GR 20. At around 2,200 meters above sea level, this passage is reached by means of a steep climb from the Manganu refuge. La Bocca delivers exceptional panoramas on the lakes of Capitello and Melo, as well as the valleys which it separates.

Beautiful descent to Lake Melo from the Bocca Soglia. Good marking and good to walk. Beautiful stream and a great view of the Melosee!

A nice climb in a snowfield, and a really steep slope! (We noted a measurement with more than 45% slope!) Well taken, it is quite accessible and climbs quite quickly. You have to take advantage of the view at the top which is superb.

At 2,206 m, the second highest point on this stage. Here a path branches off to the north to the mountain lake Lac Rinoso, which continues to Corte. But we continued the relatively easy way east to the Refuge de Petra Piana.

The path to Lac de Capitello branches off here at an altitude of approx. 2,000 m and continues to Corte.

Scharte at 2050 m on the GR 20. To the north there is a path to Lac de Melo, which lies deep below. From there it is not far to Corte.
