Not far from here (1.2 km), on the outskirts of Bourdon, there is a large military cemetery for German soldiers who fell here on the Somme in heavy fighting (including the Battle of Abbeville in early June 1940).

The Château de Picquigny is a former fortified castle, now in ruins. The Manor of Picquigny, assigned to one of Clovis' companions with his unique rights and privileges, was one of the finest and most important manors of the Kingdom of France. The castle was taken by King Dagobert in 632. The Picquigny family left to posterity one of the oldest archives of a manor house north of the Loire.

The current castle was built in the 17th century on the site of the old manor house and was expanded to include two lower wings in the following century. The outbuildings were built in the 19th century.
