A small village church with character. It overlooks the Etang de la commune Champillet, where there's also plenty of space and picnic tables for a break.

Classified as a historic monument since 1862, it is one of the most beautiful Romanesque churches in Berry, in addition to being particularly imposing. When it was built, between the end of the 11th century and the beginning of the 12th century, it was dedicated to Saint-Etienne then was finally renamed in the 17th century after Saint-Genès. It has numerous sculpted capitals.

Beautiful imposing town church

Consisting of two definitive parts, you can see the sharp lines of the church steeple facing the lake, juxtaposed with the round, rough edges on the opposite side.

The castle, whose tower marks its presence, was built around the 11th century and seems to have been built and rebuilt over hundreds of years. It was the victim of at least two landslides, the second of which would occur around 1900.

The Château du Mont takes its name from the rocks on which it is built and overlooks the Rio Brûlé valley. It is believed to have been built in the 14th century.
