Really lovely ride with a bit of everything! You have the lake, which has a nice restaurant open during the season, a nice climb out of Carces up to the abbey and then a loop back behind the lake to Carces through stunning undulating Provençal countryside with vineyards and olive groves at every turn

from the Col de Fourches to Collobriere via the D39 is not possible because it is blocked indefinitely by a landslide. Keermeer collapsed in September 2025.

Aups is a truly beautiful place with many small streets and beautiful houses. The market, which takes place there regularly, is well worth a visit. Plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit, delicious cheese, and other good things from Provence. The most beautiful bike ride from there leads to Tourtour – a wonderful little town with good restaurants!

A beautiful climb on a small, quiet road, always around 5%, rarely more than 7% gradient. However, the road surface is quite rough (4 out of 10) with plenty of potholes, bumps, and root bumps. It's much better to climb than to take the descent with caution.
