Old and very beautiful.

Is on my way to school, on weekends the street is busy depending on the time, as well as from rush hour traffic. Important: Trucks are not allowed on the Lueg, nor are coaches, because they would have to take a 30-minute break at the Lueg restaurant. So only normal cars :-)

Beautiful, very idiosyncratic place. Overthrown by the Reformed Church. Unfortunately closed when I visited on Good Friday.

Well-known vantage point in Affoltern in the Emmental at 890 m above sea level. This used to be a so-called Hohwacht on which an alarm fire was lit in the event of war.

Reformed Church Burgdorf When the town was founded, a church was built on the Kirchbühl in Burgdorf around 1200. This most likely goes back to a foundation by Duke Bertold V. The church was consecrated as a branch of Oberburg. In 1249, two parish priests were mentioned for the first time. In 1401, Burgdorf was elevated to an independent parish church. 70 years later, a decision was made to build a new town church. In 1528, the Reformation was introduced in Bern and its regions - and thus also in Burgdorf. As a result, numerous furnishings (including the seven altars) were removed from the church. An important figure in Burgdorf's church history was Pastor Johann Rudolf Gruner (1680-1761). Among other things, he worked as a chronicler and writer, founded the town library and introduced solemnity. As head of the Emmental parishes, which before the Reformation formed the Burgdorf chapter as part of the diocese of Constance, he bears the title of "dean". Also known beyond Burgdorf is Pastor Gottlieb Jakob Kuhn (1775-1849), who made a name for himself as a folk songwriter. With the Neumatt church center, the Reformed Church received an additional building in 1962 in which community life could develop.
