The refuge is located at an altitude of 1,161 meters in the Tavignanu valley. Nestled in a beautiful green setting, it is open from the beginning of May to the end of October and includes 36 places in total.

There are numerous natural swimming pools in the forest and the Aïtone waterfalls tempt the bravest... the water there is rarely warmer than 11° - even in midsummer!

Nice view of the rather large waterfall that feeds the Restonica. There is currently no official hiking trail leading to the waterfall.

Very comfortable to ride up to the last few meters, then it is better to leave your bike and walk the rest of the way to the bathing pools. the water is cold even in midsummer, so a swim in the pools is very refreshing.
