At an altitude of 1,588 meters, the Pas de Peyrol is located between the Puy Mary and the Puy de la Tourte. It is known to be the highest road pass in the Massif Central and is worth it, because the last few kilometers have high percentages. There you can admire Puy Mary which peaks at an altitude of 1,783 metres. It is one of the peaks of the Cantal mountains. It is easily recognizable with its pyramidal silhouette.

I have just done it through the Mars valley starting from Anglards de Salers. To begin, 5 km of descent on a narrow and bumpy road to reach the Riom / Le Falgoux road, in the forest. Then 25 km in the Mars valley to the summit. Regular slope. Typical village. This road joins the road between the Col de Neronne and the summit. The last two km are very steep. It was the finish of the Tour de France in 2020. The steepest route of the three. Then return via the Col de Neronne, Salers and arrival at Anglards. Approximately 57 km. Berni.
